Under Art. 13 VTS, “work motor vehicles” — unless they are transport motor vehicles — are motor vehicles built to perform work, or on which machines for performing work are permanently installed, and which have only a small payload or towing capacity.
- Work machine: work motor vehicle with a design speed exceeding 30 km/h (measurement tolerance 10%).
- Work cart: work motor vehicle with a design speed of up to 30 km/h (measurement tolerance 10%).
Work motor vehicles may be registered as transport motor vehicles if they meet all applicable rules and the work equipment neither significantly restricts visibility nor hinders traffic.
