What DAuto can measure about the Swiss vehicle fleet, and where each number comes from. This page maps our statistics surfaces — some are live today, others are planned and list the exact data they still need.

Corpus headline
The scale of the searchable catalogue. Records and distinct brands are live — read from the existing read-only catalogue endpoints, not the normalization table. Active vehicles are live too, summed from the loaded fleet snapshot — and remain a population distinct from records.
Records are not the same as vehicles. A record is one distinct vehicle configuration; one record can stand for thousands of registered vehicles. Headline corpus numbers must state which they mean.

Live, but query-scoped. The result count is an estimate capped at 1,000; facet counts describe the current query's matches, not the whole corpus. Open a search to see them.

Fleet & registration
Per-configuration Swiss registration aggregates. Hidden until the BEST/IVZ registration data is ingested — active counts are 0 today, so these blocks show nothing rather than fake a zero.

Analytics (legacy dashboard)
The three charts from the original dauto.ch dashboard, retained as Tier-1 in ANALYTICS-IDEAS.md. Each needs a materialised view and, for fleet-weighted charts, the registration ingest.

Normalization-pipeline and review metrics exist behind the API but are deliberately not shown here — they measure pipeline readiness, not the corpus.
