Which ASTRA vehicle data are free and which are paid?

ASTRA vehicle data come in two profiles: freely accessible open data products (anonymised or pseudonymised) and paid or contractually governed products that additionally contain personal information. The paid variants often carry the suffix “_R”.

The free products are available via the open data portal (opendata.astra.admin.ch); the paid or access-restricted products are supplied under contract.
For data-protection reasons, the free products contain neither keeper details nor chassis numbers (VIN).
